Seen above is Dr. Moreau in the Comic.

2004 League of Extraordinary Gentlemen V.2

Dr. Moreau makes a brief appearance in Moore and O'Neils' comic, spanning just a few pages in the fifth section of the second volume. In any comic, small details in illustrations speak volumes. In the story, Moreau is an elderly man, balding with little white hair. The aging on his face is severe, suggesting a very stressful life. He is also seen with an apron he wears while performing the vivisections. His apron is drenched in blood, indirectly depicting the pain he's caused. Meanwhile, he sports a slight smile and treats his guests with surprising hospitality. Dr. Moreau's character resembles Britain's colonial status of our generation. The blood is representative of its past aggression, specifically the resulting damage of victimized territories. His physical aging correlates with Britain as well. Britain's colonial declination is apparent, and its more reserved nature is shown through Dr. Moreau's calm, generous character.
